Stokes Bay

Stokes Bay provides a wonderful setting for our Festival. The unspoilt coastline has stunning views across the Solent and English Channel to the Isle of Wight. As our Festival coincides with the start of the world-famous Cowes Week yachting regatta, the sea will be full of racing yachts.

Our Festival site is right on the seafront with grassed fields and a scenic campsite complete with 'Posh Wash' showers and quality toilets.

The village of Alverstoke is just a few minutes walk away with its village shops, bistros, restaurants, post office and village pub while the historic Crescent (similar to the Royal Crescent in Bath) and the beautifully restored Crescent Gardens are also nearby.

The Stokes Bay seafront boasts a host of attractions including a golf course, pitch & putt course, childrens paddling pool, seafront restaurants and bistro plus scenic walks and the fascinating Fort Gilkicker, one of the line of Palmerston Forts built in Victorian times to protect England against the French. There is a Sailing Club and the Gosport & Fareham Inshore Rescue Service (GAFIRS) right alongside our Festival site.

Stokes Bay is easily reached by road (just 10 minutes from the M27 junction 11) and by rail to Portsmouth Harbour with a 5 minute cross-harbour ferry trip followed by a short bus or taxi ride to our Festival site.

Few Festivals can boast such a beautiful site with so many amenities and attractions plus such spectacular views. Stokes Bay is the ideal setting for our Festival and a wonderful place for a weekend’s holiday.
